Microsoft Teams is a reasonably new chat-based workspace app that we are rolling out across CLPT schools during the COVID19 lockdown. Engage students with virtual face-to-face connections and activities, or set up a remote lunch to keep classrooms connected and having fun and it’s free for students and teachers with a valid school email address. Teams provides single-point access to conversations, files, notes, and tasks, assignments and also a handy whiteboard feature during live lessons.
The easiest way to stay in communication with students and educators during the coronavirus outbreak is through Teams. You can create teams for classes or for groups of educators. Teams lets you chat, post messages and files, and video chat from any device.
Don’t fret! Your class handouts, quizzes, tests, and homework can all be assigned and even graded online. Make an assignment as simple or complex as you need, whether you want to send out a quick comprehension check or lay out a research paper with a grading rubric and multiple resources. Assign Office files and quizzes directly within Teams that students can work on and turn in, without needing to leave the Teams app.
Remote learning is anything but dull! Transform your virtual classroom with lots more creative, interactive, and inclusive ideas. Check out the Microsoft Educator Center for more.
